SF2022 - Lots of Layers...

Good afternoon, I hope you have had a lovely week.  I have finally recovered from our birthday celebrations and am getting back into some kind of routine again!!!  Sure sign I am getting old(er!) it takes me a lot longer to recover!

Today I am hopping with the Stampin' Friends for our monthly hop where today we are using LOTS OF LAYERS!  I love layers and I struggle not to use layers so this is perfect for me.  I am sharing a project with you today on how to cover a simple kraft notebook with our beautiful DSP.

It is really simple to spruce up an inexpensive notebook/scrapbook and they make beautiful gifts.  I carefully covered the front of my book, starting with the spine, it is a little fiddly but I made a simple template from scrap paper to begin with so I knew when I cut the holes for the spiral binding, they would fit perfectly.

I created lots of vertical layers using the beautiful Design a Daydream which is a hostess exclusive DSP and it is truly is gorgeous.  I then used further layers for the floral centerpiece and again for the sentiment which has been heat embossed in white embossing powder.

I then created a card to match the book which can be gifted together to make someone's day!

I used a Crumb Cake base card so it matched the kraft book and incorporated some of the gold into the strips.

I hope you like my projects today, they were really fun to create and the Sending Smiles stamp set is so beautiful to work with, it is definitely one of my top ten!

I am now going to pass you on to Sue and I cannot wait to see what she has been creating.

Have a great weekend,

Jo
