Good evening and welcome to the Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop. Tonight we have a monochrome theme for you in 'Shades of Blue'!
I chose four colours of blue BALMY BLUE - ORCHID OASIS - STARRY SKY - NIGHT OF NAVY. I love blues and I often gravitate to them when creating a monochrome project.
I used an old favourite layering technique where you layer white layers on top of each other and temporarily glue them in place. I then stamped the image from the Hand-Penned Petals stamp set and used my chosen blues to colour the flowers and leaves.
Once done I carefully separated the layers and mounted them on to Night of Navy cardstock.
I wanted to use the centre frame from the Scalloped Contours Dies but it wasn't quite the right shape for my card so, see that banner across the middle? I chopped the scalloped frame in half to extend it in height and placed the banner over the top - ssshhhh don't tell anyone!!!
The lovely Mo is up next and I cannot wait to see her monochrome project.
Happy Stampin'
Jo
