Ink.Stamp.Share New Year's Eve Special...

Happy New Year's Eve!

How is that even possible, considering what a year we have all had, 2020 seems to have flown by!

Today we are sharing some sneak peeks of new products which are coming on 5 January in the new Spring/Summer catalogue or from the special Sale-a-Bration catalogue.  That's right, Sale-a-Bration is back and you can earn free products for every £45 spend.  It is always such a popular promotion as we emerge from the Christmas mayhem!

You may have hopped over from the amazing Gez or starting the hop here.  You will find a roll call for all participants below in case you get lost along the way.

The project I have for you today was made for a bit of fun whilst I was having a crafty catch up with some friends on Zoom.  It involved alcohol so I couldn't make anything too intricate!  I have had this mini chalkboard hanging around for a while.

Pretty Perennials

I started by painting the entire board with black chalk paint.  I then covered the front frame with some lovely paper from the Love You Always Suite, the pack is all black and white with lots of opportunities for a pop of colour.

Pretty Perennials

The flowers and dies are from the Pretty Perennials Bundle and have been stamped/die cut using a mixture of Pear Pizzazz, Granny Apple Green, Rococo Rose, Pretty Peacock, Bumblebee, Mango Melody and Magenta Madness.

Pretty Perennials

I stamped the words direct on to the painted surface using Versamark ink and white embossing powder before heat setting it.

Pretty Perennials

I hope you like my project today, it was a bit of fun and brightens up my craft room.

I am now going to pass you on to Alison who I know will have something amazing to share with you,

Happy New Year!!

Monday Mashup #21...

Good morning and welcome to my Monday Mashup.

I hope you had a lovely Christmas and were able to celebrate it the best way possible.  Here in the UK we are under strict restrictions so hubby and I found ourselves on our own this year.  Even before the restrictions came into play we had already decided this was the safest thing to do so instead we wrapped up warm and headed to the coast for a day out.  It really made a nice change and we drove through snow and rain to get to our destination but once there the sun came out and we had a nice fresh walk along the seafront.  We had packed flasks and a picnic so after our walk we sat and watched the world go by for a while.

A quiet Christmas also means that I have had an opportunity to have a play with some new goodies for today's card.

I am sharing with you a new stamp set called Snailed It.  It is really cute and not a set I would typically choose but I couldn't resist it.

Snailed It

I started by blending the front of my card using the brand new blending brushes, you are going to love them!  I am still awaiting delivery of my brushes but as I already had some in my kit I have been able to demonstrate them in today's video.

The snail and toadstools are stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink and coloured using Stampin' Blends.

This is such a vibrate happy card and the greeting made me chuckle.

I hope you like my card today, here is a video showing you how it was created.

Thank you for dropping by and I will see you next week with some more new goodies.

3D Paper Trimmer Blog Hop December 2020 Topic: Welcome 2021...

Good morning and welcome to the 3D Paper Trimmer Blog Hop.  You may have hopped over from Gez or starting the hop here.

This month our theme is Welcome 2021.

I am welcoming 2021 with a sneak peek of some amazing new Designer Series Paper which is coming in the Spring/Summer catalogue.  The catalogue goes live on the 5 January so you haven't long to wait!

This Designer Series Paper is taken from a brand new suite called Hydrangea Hill.  It is so pretty with all the lovely hydrangea colours you would expect running through it.

Hydrangea Hill

Hydrangeas are special to me because they were one of my dad's favourites.  He had an amazing white hydrangea in his beautiful garden and the flower heads were the size of plates, absolutely stunning.  I am on the look out for one for a new raised flower bed we had built just before Christmas.

Hydrangea Hill

This project is a remake of a recent project I shared a couple of weeks ago.  You will find a tutorial for it here.

All the decoration is taken from the Designer Series Paper but of course there is an amazing stamp set  in the suite which I shall be playing with over the new few weeks.  This beautiful font appears through the stamp set too, its really delicate and pretty.

I hope you have enjoyed my project today, I couldn't resist showing off this new suite to welcome in the Stampin' Up! 2021 Spring/Summer catalogue.

I am now going to pass you on to Sigrid who I am sure has something amazing to share with you today.

Happy Craftin' and Happy New Year!

Monday Mashup #20...

Good afternoon and thank you for dropping by today, my apologies for the lateness of my post today, there is so much going on this week, I am running a bit behind!!!

Here in the UK has seen a large percentage of the population put back into what is effectively full lock down again this weekend.  This has put pay to most Christmas gatherings and has hit so many people really hard.  My husband and I had already planned to spend it alone this year (with the dogs of course!) and have accepted the disappointment but my heart goes out to everyone who has had their plans changed at the last minute.  Here's hoping for a better 2021 when we can once again hug our friends and family and spend valuable time with them.

I am sharing with you today a project and some cards from my last class for this year.  We wanted a non Christmas class to see us out and I chose the beautiful Nature's Beauty stamp set.  It is one you have seen me use the 'snow' stamp from lots over the last few weeks but this class was all about the animals.

We made a box in a card for our project, mixed up with the Gilded Autumn Speciality Designer Series Paper.

The box has an acetate window so you can see what is inside and the inside of the cover forms your card.

We then made a series of cards incorporating all the animals.  This set has so many wintery possibilities but I specifically wanted it to be about the animals and how versatile this set can be, here are the cards that we made.

All of the animals were stamped in Staz On and were painted using inks.  I stuck to just four colours from the DSP, Mint Macaron, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso and Cajun Craze which meant that everything co-ordinated beautifully.

I hope you like the projects today, you can find the instructions for the box in a card here.

I look forward to seeing you next week with a sneak peek of some lovely new goodies coming in the Spring/Summer catalogue.

Happy Christmas to you all, keep safe and try and have a good time.

Love You Always Sneak Peeks....

Good afternoon and welcome to my blog for the second time today!

I have another sneak peak for you this afternoon.

I was very privileged to be asked to demonstrate some of our amazing new products on our Stampin' Up! UK Demonstrators Facebook page today and I chose to use the beautiful new Love You Always Suite.

I was asked to make a 3d item with a co-ordinating card.

I started by making this cute little gift box using the most exquisite Speciality Designer Series Paper which I know is going to be a firm favourite.

The box is about 6cm square, the perfect size for a nice bit of jewellery I would say!

I then made this co-ordinating flip flap shutter card.  This is not a new technique but I have adjusted measurements to fit my needs.  You can see the glistening foils in the papers, they are really luxurious.

You pull the little ribbon tab on the left and it flips over.

And here is picture of the two projects together.

I hope you like my projects as much as I enjoyed making them.  I will be uploading the tutorials later today so you can give them a go yourself.

Happy Craftin'

Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop - Dec 2020 - SAB/Mini Catalogue...

Good morning and welcome to the Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop.

Today is very exciting as this is the first outing for some new products, yay, not long now til the brand new Spring/Summer catalogue is launched.  As much as I love Christmas crafting I do get to saturation point and just have to move on and this hop was a good excuse plus it is my stepdaughter's birthday so perfect timing!

I am sharing with you a card made using the brand new Hydrangea Hill suite.

Hydrangea Hill

Hydrangeas are one of my favourite flowers of all time and I love all the beautiful changing colours that they come in.

Hydrangea Hill

To try and incorporate all those colours I used a mixture of Seaside Spray, Highland Heather and Rococo Rose sponged on to the flower head and I then used Stampin' Blends to bring out the detail.

Hydrangea Hill

I am looking forward to getting more acquainted with the suite over the next few months as I can see endless possibilities!

I hope you like my project today, I cannot wait to see what everyone else has been creating.  You can follow the hop by clicking on the link below.

Happy Christmas and Happy Stampin'

Monday Mashup #19...

Good morning and welcome to my Monday Mashup.

I have been busy over the weekend getting some jobs done and I held a class on Saturday using the amazing Nature's Beauty stamp set, more of that to follow next week as I have a re-run of the class next Saturday.  Sunday's weather was very wet but we managed to get a walk in with the dogs and my hubby and I joined some dear friends for a Christmas Zoom quiz night, with wine and nibbles too!

I must confess my Christmas crafting mojo is slowly leaving the building (as I have a few final bits I need to do!) but I have one last Christmas Monday Mashup for you this week using the Tag Buffet and Itty Bitty Christmas stamp sets.

I started by drawing a circle as a guide to create my bauble and added greenery and berries until I reached the desired effect.

I have recorded a short video of the process of making this card so you can give it a go yourself.

All of the products used can be purchased from my online shop and with the Giant Close Out Sale now on, what better time to treat yourself!

Happy Stampin'
