Good morning and welcome to the Colour Combo Blog Hop for December and the last one for this year! You may have joined me from Mo or starting the hop here.
Today we are creating with this super combination. I can say super now I have finished my project but I must confess when I first saw this mix of colours I was totally stumped! That is why I love this blog hop because it makes you think out of the box and sometimes out of your comfort zone. Ironically all three of these colours I love it was just the combination I initially struggled with. However I looked through my stamp collection and this is what I came up with.
I used Gray Granite as my base card and randomly stamped the background with the oil spill and nuts in Gray Granite ink. I then used a Whisper White layer and a further layer of Gray Granite.
I wanted to 'grease it up' a little bit so I sponged some more Gray Granite on to this layer and added some faux stitching in Cinnamon Cider.
I cut the cogs from Cinnamon Cider card and added even more Gray Granite to knock back the colour a little and add some more grime!
The greeting is inked in Gray Granite on to Whisper White cardstock.
Finally I stamped the car in Black Memento ink and coloured using Gray Granite and Real Red Stampin' Blends.
I think it is a really good challenge to just randomly pick some colours and see what you can come up with, it really makes you think and whilst sometimes it is a struggle it certainly gets your creative mind working.
I hope you like my project, I am now going to pass you on to Caroline who I am sure will have something lovely to share with you today.
All of the products I have used in making my project can be purchased from my online shop by clicking on the links below and with the Giant Close Out Sale in progress, there is no better time to treat yourself!
