Good morning, hope you are well and have had a good weekend.
I have had a tidying up sort of weekend, my craft room was a disgrace, I know that is hard to believe but it was true (innocent face!), but has been tidied in time for my pre-order to arrive from the new Spring/Summer catalogue which will be with you before you know it!!! I will have some sneak peaks for you really soon!!!
I had a jam making morning on Sunday and managed to get 20 lovely jars of raspberry jam from the last batch of raspberries which I froze back in the Summer.
I want to share a card with you today using a fun background technique and showing how versatile our dies can be. I am guilty of looking at dies quite literally but sometimes hidden in the dies is a little gem when they can be used for something quite different than their intended purpose.
For this card I have used the branch die from the Cherry Blossoms Dies to create wintery twigs and berries.
I cut the 'twigs' twice in Early Espresso and twice in Poppy Parade. I cut the 'berries' from the Poppy Parade pieces and stuck them on the twigs.
The background was made using a colour wash and the snow was created using our White Embossing Paste.
I have recorded a video of how the card was made and hopefully you will give it a go for yourself or maybe look at your dies in a different way!
All of the products I have used to create my card can be purchased from my online shop by clicking on the buttons below.
I hope you have a good week and I will be back in the week with some more crafty fun.
Happy Craftin'
Jo
