Ink. Stamp. Share May Blog Hop - Monochrome...

Good afternoon and thank you for joining us today for the Ink. Stamp. Share Monochrome Blog Hop.

I love Monochrome projects, it is amazing the amount of detail you can get by using just one palette of colour.

Today I have chosen to use a new stamp set from the soon to be released Annual Catalogue for 2019/20.  It from a suite called Magnolia Lane and the stamps are called Good Morning Magnolia.

Here is my card...

I coloured my image using just the Light and Dark Crumb Cake Blender Pens with a touch of Soft Suede.

I hope you like it.

I am now going to pass you on to Linda who I am sure has something lovely to share with you today.

Happy Stampin!

Ink & Share Blog Hop - Goodbye...

Good morning and welcome to another Ink & Share Scrapbook Blog Hop.  This month we are saying goodbye to some of our favourite products from the Stampin' Up! Catalogues to make way for some new goodies.

I have chosen to use the beautiful Needlepoint Nook Suite.  I absolutely love this suite, especially the DSP which is so colourful and beautiful.

Here is my page....

I made the little flower centres by simply cutting a fringe in some Crushed Curry cardstock and rolling it up tightly before fanning out the trimmed edge.

I am now going to pass you on to Colleen who I am sure has something amazing to share with you today.

Happy Scrappin'

SDBH - May - Annual Catalogue Sneak Peek...

Good evening, tonight I am joining in with the Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop for May where we are sharing everything 'new' with some amazing Sneak Peaks from the 2019/20 Annual Catalogue coming on 4 June!!!

One of the many advantages of being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator is that we get to see the goodies several weeks in advance of their launch and have the opportunity to purchase a selection of these goodies.

Today I am sharing with you a suite which really caught my eye called Come Sail Away.  It has a fantastic stamp set, dies, paper, embossing folder, Memories & More cards, twine and embellishments.

This stamp set is great for using with different background techniques.  The first technique I used was to mix some re-inker in Night of Navy and Balmy Blue together with some Frost White shimmer paint.  I screwed up some tissue paper and blotted on to some Whisper White cardstock.

I then teamed it up with one of the cards from the Memories & More cards, added some twine and an embellishment to complete.

I then used a technique which I cannot for the life of me remember the name of where you stamp your images repeatedly until there is no ink left on your stamp.  I did this in several colours until I had covered my background.

Finally, this one isn't a background technique but I mixed some Night of Navy ink with some Frost White Shimmer Paint and dabbed it all over the laser cut frame from the Memories & More cards.  The lighthouse is also from the Memories & More cards.  I attached my greeting under the background paper on the inside of my card and added a little magnet which holds it closed.  The other magnet is hidden under the wheel.

I think I am a bit addicted to this suite and I hope I may have inspired you a little today.  Please continue through the hop to see all the amazing sneak peak projects.

Thanks for dropping by.

Kre8tors May Blog Hop - Techniques...

Good afternoon and thank you for joining me today.  You may have joined me from Jan or starting your journey here but either way best make yourself a cuppa as we have a beauty of a hop for you today.

This month we are tasked with the heading 'techniques'.  This can be background techniques or colouring techniques or like me, I have chosen to highlight a card technique, the shaker card!

When I sat down to make this card I wanted to make use of one of the amazing products that will soon be parting us which is sad but that just means there is lots of room for some fantastic new goodies!

Here is my card....

I sponged some Flirty Flamingo, Grapefruit Grove, Mango Melody and Coastal Cabana on to a piece of Whisper White cardstock before cutting out the Happy Birthday.  I made my shaker part using the Layering Circles and the balloons using the balloon punch.

Here you can just see some little seed beads I used for the shaker part.  I always like to use something a little heavier than punched out shapes or glitter as you get a real 'shake' and they don't cling to the acetate.

I hope you like my card and I am now going to pass you on to Ximena who I am sure has something gorgeous to share with you today.

Happy Stampin'!

Stamp 'n Hop - Goodbye to the 2018-19 Catalogue...

Good morning, thank you for joining me today.  You may have joined me from Cheryl or starting your journey here.  Either way, sit back and enjoy hopping around the Stampin 'n Hop May Hop where we are saying goodbye to some of our favourite products from the 2018-2019 Catalogue.

This is always a sad time to say goodbye to some amazing products but an exciting time as a whole load of new goodies are soon to be available.

I have chosen to highlight one of my favourite all time stamps.  In fact, when it came out I bought myself a spare in case I ever mislaid any part of it!!!

So, meet BABY BEAR!!!!

Isn't he a cutie, I have made this card for a new baby but equally it would make a lovely birthday card or love and hugs type card.  I would love receiving him for any occasion.  This is the perfect stamp to use with the Stamparatus!

The bear is made up of three stamps in three colours, I used Sahara Sand for the base, Crumb Cake for the second layer and Early Espresso for the top.

I will be sad to see him go from the catalogue but he is definitely a keeper!

I am now going to pass you on to Pia who I am sure has something lovely to share with you today.
