Ink & Share Blog Hop: Holiday Catalog Preview...

Hello all and welcome to today's Ink & Share Blog Hop.  You have joined me from the amazing Cindy Mitchell-Clark. This is a collaboration of several Stampin' Up!® Independent Demonstrators from around the world to share with you a Holiday Catalogue Review.  This is just a small selection of some of the amazing new products available in the Autumn Winter Catalogue which goes live on the 5 September.

I have chosen to share with you today two new amazing Christmas sets from the catalogue along with some amazing DSP.

The first card I want to share with you is using the Joyous Noel suite.  I am normally quite a traditionalist when it comes to Christmas and love the bright reds, greens and golds but sometimes it is nice to have something a little bit different and the Joyous Noel suite whilst traditional in some respects, adds a vintage feel with the use of two new colours to our spectrum, Merry Merlot (don't you love that name!) and Gray Granite along with the beautiful Tranquil Tide and instead of the usual bright Gold it is paired with Copper which gives it a softer look and compliments the vintage feel.  The suite is made of some beautiful elements and the stamp set can be purchased as a bundle which incorporates a lovely sprig punch.  There is also some beautiful glimmer paper in copper, Merry Merlot and Tranquil Tide.

This card was made using the Peaceful Noel stamp set which forms part of the suite.

Another set I adore from the new catalogue is called Dashing Deer which is full of lovely deer and some amazing greetings.  It reminds me so much of the amazing 'Dasher' who was a hit for many years in the Stampin' Up! catalogues.  I have chosen this set also because it compliments the Joyous Noel suite so well.

This set is also available as a bundle with the most adorable dies, just look at those swirls, they are so intricate but cut out so beautifully from the copper glimmer paper and what's more is that there are two of these amazing dies in the set so you only have to run them through the machine twice for this card!  I have used a little of the Tranquil Tide velvet ribbon which is luxurious and is also available from the 5 September.

Being a 3d girl, I couldn't resist making a project for you today so here is a little box which opens up to quite a large box!

Click on the picture below for a tutorial of how I made this box, the tutorial is using different Stampin' Up! products but is made in the same way.

Kre8tors August Blog Hop - Water...

Welcome to another Kre8tors Blog Hop you have joined me here in the UK from the amazing Diana Tillery.  Each month a group of demonstrators from around the world are tasked with a theme to create projects to showcase the beautiful products of Stampin' Up!.

This month's theme is WATER.  This could be anything associated with water.  It is always a challenge to decide which products to use and this month I have chosen to dust off an amazing set called Swirly Bird.  This set has been with us for some time now but it is so versatile and has so many possibilities that it is one of those go to sets!

I have made two cards for you today.

The first one uses the elements to make a lovely little boat.

I cut the waves using the Swirly Scribbles dies to make a stencil and sponged the waves using Pool Party ink.  I add some Wink of Stella to the waves to make them shimmer.  I cut a porthole from Whisper White cardstock which I sponged in Real Red ink and added some gems for rivets.  I stamped the boat in Blueberry Bushel, Real Red (stamped off once for the background of the sail and stamped the stripes in Real Red) the other half of the sail is stamped in Mango Melody.

For the second card I stamped some kites using the same colours and method for the waves.

I hope you have enjoyed my projects today and if you would like to purchase any of the items I have used, please contact your local demonstrator or, if you do not have a demonstrator, I would be happy to help!  Alternatively, you can purchase them through my online shop using the items listed below.  Stampin' Up! have their Bonus Days promotion running at the moment so for every £45 you spend you receive a voucher code for £4.50 to spend on anything in September (yes that means the new Autumn/Winter Catalogue which goes live on the 5 September!!!)  There is no better time than to rack up those voucher codes for a September shopping spree.  Find out more by popping over to my online shop or simply drop me a line.

Christmas in July - Advent Calendar (Part 3)...

Welcome to Part 3 of the Christmas in July Advent Calendar series.  You can see my two previous blog posts here and here.

I am sharing with you today some of the other projects which were on the display table at the recent Christmas in July Advent Calendar class.

These jars were simply some jars I had in the house and I painted them with a thin layer of watered down PVA glue before adding salts.  I allowed them to dry and set with a thin layer of spray varnish.

The following projects were inspired by the brilliant Sam at https://mixedupcraft.com/.  She is extremely creative and has some amazing projects to share.

The following projects I kind of made up as I went along.  I am always on the look out for unusual packaging to recreate.
