Positive Inkers Blog Hop - New Mini...

Welcome to the new look Positive Inkers Design Team Blog Hop.  Today we are sharing projects from the brand new July-December Mini Catalogue which is available NOW.  I know, it only seems like yesterday since we were treated to the new Annual Catalogue but they work hand in hand and it means there are even more delights to excite us (especially as this one is full of Christmas - and other occasions of course!)

For my project I used a new stamp set called Ringed with Nature.  This is one of those sets which has so many possibilities and has so many elements that it truly is suitable for all occasions.  I have chosen a Christmas theme for today.

If you purchase the bundle, it comes with the most amazing hybrid embossing folder.  What's that I hear you ask???  I must admit I wondered myself when these amazing folders started appearing in our catalogues.  There is an embossing folder which you use in the normal way, as I have done for the background of my card, but there is also a die which fits into the negative space on the embossing folder which cuts and embosses all at the same time!  How cool is that.  You can also use the dies independently so its like three for the price of one.

The tree ring you can see behind the house is made using the embossing folder so I embossed and cut the slice in both Soft Suede and Crumb Cake and then pieced them together to make the slice.

I have then stamped several of the elements, the house, leaves, poinsettia and a gold embossed heart. This was so much fun to make and I cannot wait to have a play with the other elements in the set.

And one last amazing fact about this stamp set, when you spend £45 or more from today you get to choose a co-ordinating Designer Series Paper for FREE.
