SNEAK PEEK - Stylish Sketches...

Stylish Sketches

Good morning, I hope you have had a lovely weekend.  In case you aren't aware, our July-December Mini Catalogue launches on Friday 1 July and we have an amazing new Sale-a-Bration promotion too!  I know, so soon after the Annual Catalogue BUT this is, in my opinion, the most exciting catalogue to cover all our Autumnal and Christmas needs (and more!).

This little fox comes from a stamp set called Stylish Sketches, which you can earn for free with a qualifying £45 order, and features this beautiful fox along with two other main images which I will share with you over the next couple of days.

The images look like they have been hand drawn and are really quick and easy to colour and create with.  For my card I embossed the white background using the Fern embossing folder, the impressions are really nice and deep but subtle at the same time and work so well with this stamp set.  I stamped the image in Staz-on ink and coloured the fox using a mixture of Cajun Craze mixed with a little Soft Suede ink to 'knock it back' a little bit and give a foxy colour.

The hash lines on the sketch make it easy to see where the shadows form.  I have darkened these areas a little.

There is a little dotty stamp in the stamp set which I used to create the background in Smoky Slate ink. I then used a piece of kitchen paper which had some of the Cajun Craze ink on and lightly smudged it into the background.

I know you are going to love this little set so check back tomorrow to see sketch two.

Happy Monday.

  2. I have a fox that comes to my yard and tries to catch one of the squirrels eating from my birdfeeders. I love how you colored this fox! He looks so real!

  3. Love this. I am casing it for my granddaughter’s birthday card. She adores any and all foxes. Thanks so much.
