Ink & Share Scrapbook Blog Hop - Summer...

Good afternoon, hope you are having a relaxing Sunday!  I am hopping with the Ink & Stamp Scrapbook Hop today and we are celebrating Summer.

When I initially think of summer I think of sun, sea and ice cream but in reality we don't really do much sun or sea although of course we are partial to the odd ice cream!!!  The thing that always reminds me of summer is fayres, ice cream colours and swallows.  I know this sounds an odd one but we used to holiday every summer on the Norfolk Broads.  We would drop anchor in the middle of one particular Broad and sit to watch the sun go down and the sky would be full of swallows swooping down around our boat.  They are so beautiful to watch.

So my page today incorporates those things for a different take on Summer.

I have used the Pattern Party Designer Series Paper which is a hostess only DSP pack which has the most gorgeous colours and patterns and on the reverse, they are black and white.  The two sides compliment each other so well.

The border at the top is cut using the Basic Border Dies from Crushed Curry cardstock.

I cut the bunting to hold three 3 x 3 photographs and strung them together with Linen Thread.  The flowers are from a brand new Sale-a-Bration stamp set called Delicate Dahlias and the swallows are taken from a new stamp set from the Mini Catalogue called Beauty of Tomorrow, both of which are available from 3 August!

I have used the Playful Alphabet Dies for 'Summer' and I have hand doodled the other words using a fine black pen.

I hope you like my take on Summer and I am now going to pass you on to the lovely Cindy who I am sure will have something lovely to share with us today.

Happy Scrappin'
