I often wonder how Christmas in July came about, for us crafters its just an excuse to get the Christmas goodies out early! It also coincides with a new Autumn/Winter catalogue which will be out soon and I hold a Christmas in July event every year!
I have chosen a new background stamp to share with you today. It is available in the Annual Catalogue and is called Festive Foliage.
This stamp immediately appealed to me and I could see lots of potential. I stamped the image in Versamark ink on to Basic White cardstock and heat embossed using Gold Embossing Powder. I then coloured the elements using Stampin' Blends.
I used parts of the background on each corner of a second piece of Basic White cardstock and added a small border in Cherry Cobbler cardstock. I stamped the greeting in Cherry Cobbler and cut out using the Tasteful Labels Dies.
I then fussy cut a few of the elements I had coloured and arranged them behind my greeting before adding a couple of ribbon loops.
I hope you like my card today, this design could be used for any occasion so if you are not quite in the mood for Christmas yet it would look lovely for a birthday card!
