Good morning and welcome to this week's Monday Mashup. Today I am sharing a fun technique with a brand new stamp set called Beauty of Tomorrow.
I hope you have had a good weekend, I had class again this weekend and it was so nice to see some more ladies having crafting fun. I had forgotten some of the conversations we have, they never cease to amaze me! Seriously though, we did have some chuckles. Sunday was a relaxing one which was very welcome having had an extremely busy week and lots of late nights!
So, let me tell you a bit about the Beauty of Tomorrow stamp set. It is an absolutely gorgeous set with foliage, some beautiful words and font and is part of an amazing Suite of products called Blackberry Beauty. You are going to love it and it is available from 3 August.
For this card I have used the Faux Silk technique. This is a lovely technique which gives a nice texture and opaqueness to the finished card. I have recorded a video of the technique so you can see how it was made and I have explained how to make the image pop through the 'silk'.
The finished card has a real softness to its look, just like silk.
The leaves are cut from Shimmery Gold Vellum which is part of the suite and you can see how it was made here.
Thank you for taking the time to drop by today and I hope you have a lovely week. Don't forget the Designer Series Paper sale ends in a week so be quick so not to miss out.
Happy Stampin'
