"August/December 2020 Catalog" Theme Stampers Showcase Blog Hop...

Hello and welcome to the Stampers Showcase August Blog Hop.  This month we are giving you a tour of the Autumn/Winter catalogue.

You may have joined me from Lisa or starting the hop here.  You can navigate around the hop using the next buttons or at the bottom you will find a list of all participants.

Today I am sharing with you a project which has a bit of history behind it!  Way back in 2014 I attended my first ever Stampin' Up! Convention (as they were then known).  I had been a demonstrator for 3 years but this was my first Convention.  At that time, Stampin' Up! would hold a design competition where you could submit an entry to be judged and displayed at the event.

You can see the original blog entry of this item here.

As it was my first time I thought I would give it a go.  I created a project which, although I unfortunately didn't come anywhere in the competition, still to this day is the one creation I am consistently receiving emails about and asking for instructions as to how it was made.

The truth is, I made it up as I went along so when I saw the new Trimming the Town Suite in the new catalogue, it was my chance to finally recreate this project.  The project is a Christmas Home Decor pyramid which looks lovely displayed on a sideboard or table.

When you remove the top from the pyramid it opens up to a Christmas display.

The project itself is reasonably simple to create it just takes a bit of time and patience.  I have recorded a video of the process so maybe you would like to give it a go too.

I hope you have enjoyed my project and I am now going to pass you on to Leonie who I know will have something lovely to share with you today.

Happy Craftin'

Jo
