SF2021 - Monochromatic March...

Thank you for dropping by.  Today I am joining the Stampin' Friends 2021 Blog Hop for March with a theme of Monochromatic.  

I love working with monochrome colours whether it be greys and blacks or pinks or blues.  It gives us an opportunity to add some artistic licence to our projects!

Very shortly we will be saying goodbye to our Annual Catalogue and welcoming in a new one.  As I write this I have no idea what will stay and what will go so I decided to use a stamp set which has been with us a while now in the fear it won't be with us for much longer.  I have chosen Free as a Bird.  I have also used Seaside Spray which was one of the 2019-2021 In Colors which will definitely be leaving us when the new catalogue is launched!

I started with the base and used some embossing paste which I coloured very lightly with Seaside Spray ink.  I then used a Decorative Mask to add the paste to my card base.  Before the paste dried I flicked some Misty Moonlight ink on to the background.

I stamped the flowers and leaves on to Fluid 100 watercolour paper and watercoloured them using Seaside Spray and Misty Moonlight ink.

The greeting was stamped and heat embossed on to Night of Navy cardstock.

I then created a little self closing box to match using the same techniques.

The twine you can see in the background on the card is linen thread which I have dyed with Misty Moonlight ink.
