Stampin INKspirations February Blog Hop ...

Good evening and welcome to the Stamping INKspirations February Blog Hop.

This evening I am joining Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the World to share projects with the theme 'Love is in the Air'.  Well it is Valentine's weekend after all.

You will find a list of all the participants at the end of this post.  All 37 of us, wow, that's a big hop!

I decided to use one of my favourite stamp sets from the Mini Catalogue called Snailed It.

I wanted to use some non traditional colours for a non traditional Valentine's Day card and chose Smoky Slate, Mint Macaron and So Saffron.

Snailed It

I started with a Thick Basic White card base with a Smoky Slate border and a smaller piece of Basic White cardstock.

I used blending brushes to create the background of my card using Soft Sea Form, Mint Macaron and a little Smoky Slate.
'
I stamped the snails on to Basic White cardstock in Memento ink and coloured them using Stampin' Blends.  I then fussy cut them out to remove any white edges.

Snailed It

I cut the letters from the Playful Alphabet dies from Smoky Slate cardstock on Foam Adhesive Sheet.  I attached some linen thread to the base of each letter, the snails, letters and thread to my card base.

Snailed It

I finally added the YOU, hearts and adhesive gems before adding some Shimmery Crystal Effects to the letters and to the snails eyes.

Snailed It

I hope you like my alternative Valentine's card.  I do love these snails!

All of the products I have used in creating my card can be purchased from my online shop by clicking on the links below.

I am now going to pass you on to Leonie who I am sure will have something lovely to share with you today.

Happy Stampin'

Jo
