Stampin' for Christmas October Blog Hop...

Hello and welcome to the Stampin' for Christmas Blog Hop for October.

You may have joined me from the talented Alison or beginning the hop here.  I know we have some special treats for you today.

I have had the beautiful Poinsettia Petals Bundle in my collection for the last few weeks but I haven't really had an opportunity to have a play with it until now.

I really wanted this suite for the dies as they make beautiful 3d poinsettias which are great for Christmas decor pieces but somehow the bundle slipped into my basket, oops!!!

Here is the card I have made today.

I have used the no line stamping technique on this card.  I first stamped the poinsettia image on to a sticky note and cut it out to use as a mask.  I then stamped the poinsettia on to our lovely Fluid 100 watercolour paper in stamped off Sahara Sand ink.  I masked one of the poinsettia at the top and stamped a second one close to it.

I used the ink from the ink pads to then paint my poinsettias before adding a light Sahara Sand wash around them to make them pop from the page.

I cut the Christmas from the Word Wishes Dies in Cherry Cobbler and stamped the Merry in Black Memento on to a scrap of Whisper White cardstock before cutting out.

Before putting everything together I splattered the whole piece with Frost White Shimmer Paint and allowed everything to dry thoroughly.

I then added my greeting and mounted everything up to complete my card.  I hope you like it.

Colouring is by far one of my favourite things to do and I quite often spend hours painting away without realising it.  It certainly is a good way to relax.

You can purchase any of the products I have used to make my card by clicking on the links below.

I am now going to pass you on to the talented Narelle who I am sure has something beautiful to share with you today.

Happy Stampin'
