Good morning and welcome to my Monday Mashup. Today I am sharing with you a card using Bruno Bertucci's scrappy technique, with a twist of course, well this is our Monday Mashup after all!
I love using dark colours, they really pack a punch and have an instant impact. Today I am going to show you a great technique for adding colour to dark colours.
For this card I have used the lovely Merry Merlot mixed with the beautiful Brushed Metallics cardstock, they really are gorgeous.
I have stamped the images using a Versamark ink pad on to Merry Merlot cardstock and heat embossed using Gold Embossing Powder.
I coloured the images using the Chalk Marker and once dry, I have used Stampin' Blends to add colour over the top.
Here are some more images so you can see a bit more detail.
I have then cut the leaf strips and some embossed strips at various angles, separated by various metallic strips and added them to a base card before cutting to size.
This is then mounted on to some more Brushed Metallic cardstock (did I mention that I love this stuff!) before adding my greeting and some punched leaves.
Both techniques on their own are lovely but when mixed up I think they look stunning against the dark cardstock.
I have recorded a video to show how it was made in more detail, I hope you like it. All of the products I have used in my project can be purchased by clicking on the links below.
Have a good Monday and see you next week for another Monday Mashup.
Happy Stampin'
Jo
