Hi everyone and welcome to the Positive Inkers August Blog Hop. Can you guess what the theme is for August? Yes you got it, we are celebrating florals.
I love florals and after a really busy weekend, it was lovely yesterday to sit down and have some R&R whilst colouring the beautiful florals from the Fresh Cut Flowers stamp set. What a beauty this set is, the images have really fine lines so it is perfect for all types of colouring techniques. I used Watercolour Pencils (as it was officially the last day of Global Watercolour Month when I coloured it!)
I started with the greenery in Granny Apple Green and Garden Green, with a tiny bit of black mixed in to give it more depth. For the flowers I used Flirty Flamingo, Melon Mambo and a little bit of Rich Razzleberry. I used our Fluid 100 Watercolour Paper to stamp on in Black Staz-on Ink.
OK, so this is not a quick card, I coloured for several hours whilst watching the Ladies Euro Cup winning game, yay we won!!!
At the top of this post you saw a work in progress and you can see I work on each petal in turn adding layers to create the depth of colour.
I had such a lovely day colouring this image, I hope you like it. I cannot wait to see what my fellow hoppers have created today and you can follow the hop by clicking on the names below.
Wishing you a lovely week,
Jo
