Good afternoon from the UK, I hope you are all well and are ready for some crafting inspiration! Today we are sharing Life's Special Occasions!
This got me to thinking about special occasions we have throughout our life and how we celebrate them. Marriage, children, pets (got to have pets), special birthdays (I have one of those this year) and celebrations of life in general. In just a couple of weeks we will be celebrating Valentine's Day and whilst these days it is sadly very commercialised, it is still a day to celebrate and I wonder how many proposals are made on Valentine's day each year!?
So today I am celebrating Valentine's Day and have created a cute little box, maybe for a ring or a small piece of jewellery using our Heart punches and the beautiful Sweet Talk Designer Series Paper.
I punched a couple of the plain hearts from Real Red cardstock and using a strip of card, I cut a 'frilled' edge and attached the strip between the two hearts to create my box. I then repeated it for the top section but this time using DSP for the inside of the box, the difference in thickness meant it slipped inside the base box perfectly.
Such a cute little box and of course I made a matching card to go with it.
I love the colours in this Designer Series Paper, they are so pretty.
I cannot wait to see what other occasions are being celebrated in today's hop. You can follow the hop by clicking on the links below.
Happy Craftin'
Jo
