Hi and welcome to the Stampers Showcase January Blog Hop. We are in the midst of Sale-a-Bration so today we are creating our projects with some of the amazing products which you can earn for FREE with a qualifying order.
There are so many gorgeous stamp sets and Designer Series Paper and if you HOST an event during Sale-a-Bration and have a qualifying order you will receive the Host set for free! It is a really stunning stamp called Calming Camellia which looks absolutely beautiful just stamped in a single colour. It is one of our DistINKtive stamps so all the detail has already been included but I wanted to add some colour.
I started by stamping the image on to Crumb Cake cardstock in Early Espresso ink. I then spattered some extra ink around the stamped image before I started to colour.
I laid down a layer of white watercolor pencil on to the image to provide a lighter base. Then using a Stampin' Marker (Flirty Flamingo and Mossy Meadow), a White Stampin' Chalk Marker and a Blender Pen, built up layers to colour the image.
I splattered the background with some Wink of Stella to add a little sparkle, added some linen thread and a sentiment taken from the same stamp set.
I love to colour and this one was a real beauty to bring to life. I hope you like it.
I cannot wait to see what everyone has been creating. Liz is up next and I know she will have something gorgeous to share with us.
Happy Stampin'
Jo
