Good morning and welcome to the first Monday Mashup of 2021!
I hope you had a lovely Christmas and New Year.
This is also the last day for the Autumn/Winter Mini catalogue so if you still have your eye on anything, you will have to grab it quick!
Which means that tomorrow sees the launch of the brand new January-June Mini Catalogue which is bursting at the seams with gorgeousness. Pop back tomorrow to download your copy or if you are in the UK and would like me to send you a copy, please drop me a line.
Today I am sharing with you a brand new stamp set called Pretty Perennials and it really is a pretty set with lots of possibilities. It comes with co-ordinating dies but for today's project I have used just the stamps.
I started by stamping the images using Whisper White Craft Ink on to Basic Black cardstock. I then painted a thin layer of Frost White Shimmer Paint over the petals. I then used a mixture of the Watercolour Pencils to lay colour over the top of the petals.
Once the colour was added I blended them with the Whisper White watercolour pencil. I stamped the centre of the large flowers in Memento ink and added my greeting and some jewels to finish.
Unfortunately the photographs do not show the beautiful lustre on the flowers but hopefully you will be able to see it in the video that I recorded for this technique.
I created another card using a similar technique with Pretty Peacock cardstock but this time I used the watercolour pencils direct on top of the Whisper White Craft ink and added the shimmer paint to the ends of the petals.
Thank you for dropping by today, I hope you like my projects.
Happy Stampin'
Jo
