Good afternoon and welcome to the Stampin' for Christmas Blog Hop for November.
You may have joined me from the lovely Alison or starting the hop here but you can find a list of the hoppers at the bottom of the post should you get lost along the way.
I am sharing a really simple card with you today, something which I am not known for! It does however incorporate quite a lot of heat embossing, something I do really love but beyond a greeting, I rarely use it in my projects.
Let me show you my project...
It was very hard to photograph this project as I have used white embossing powder on to Whisper White cardstock all over the background using the berry stamp from the Poinsettia Petals stamp set.
Here are some close up which hopefully show it a bit better. you may have to zoom in to see it! As I said it is very subtle but when the light catches the berries it is really pretty.
I also heat embossed the Holly Leaves, also in Whisper White Emboss Powder on to Whisper White cardstock and used Old Olive ink and a water painter to add the colour to the leaves.
Finally I stamped the greeting from the Peace & Joy stamp set in Memento ink on to Whisper White cardstock, coloured the berries on the embellishment with a Dark Real Red Stampin' Blend and added some sheer ribbon to the card front to complete.
I hope you like my card today, it was good fun to make and nice to go out of my comfort zone for a change.
All of the products I have used in making this project can be purchased from my online shop by clicking on the links below.
Laura is up next and I know she will have something gorgeous to share with you today.
Happy Embossing!!
Jo
