Monday Mashup #15...

 

Good morning, I hope you are all well and have had a lovely weekend.

I have had a really busy weekend.  On Saturday I held my monthly class with my lovely Essex girls, it was a last minute transfer to online given the current restrictions here in the UK but we had fun nevertheless.

Sunday I joined some fellow demos in a painting class.  Something a little different to what we do as it was a tree painted on to a wooden pallet but it was great fun and it is nice to step out of my comfort zone from time to time.

I think it is amazing how somehow we have all adapted to doing things online, it makes me wonder what would have happened if this pandemic had happened 20 years ago!!!

I have been wall to wall Christmas crafting over the last few weeks so for today's Monday Mashup I decided to take a momentary break from Christmas and I have dusted off a stamp set I haven't used in a while called Seaside Notions.

I started by creating a blended seashore background.

I then added some texture and shimmer to the background before adding the shells and greeting.  The shells have been watercoloured on to our Fluid 100 Watercolour Paper.

I have recorded a short video of how I created this card which includes another technique for using the amazing Frost White shimmer paint.
