Ink & Share Scrapbook Sketch Challenge...

Happy Sunday and welcome to the Ink & Share September Blog Hop.

We have an amazing sketch challenge today from Pagemaps.  As you probably already know, I love a sketch challenge and they are particularly helpful for scrapbooking.  My top tip is not to look at it too literally.  For example, just because the sketch has hearts on it, it doesn't mean you have to use hearts (unless you want to of course), it is more for placement ideas rather than specifics.  Instead of hearts for my layout I have used candy canes and mistletoe.  Here is the sketch.

I really loved the layers on this sketch and I have used the Sweet Candy Canes Suite for my project.

I stamped my Real Red background with the candy canes and mistletoe from the Sweet Candy Canes stamp set in Real Red.  I then used the Sweetest Christmas DSP for the layers.  This DSP is full of spots and stripes in traditional reds and greens with a tiny bit of blue which work great for Christmas.

I love these candy canes, they remind me of some canes I hang on my tree each year.  The bell embellishments are really cute too.

I have used the Alphabest stamp set for the date and the Stylish Shapes Dies for the circles and date banner.

Now I just need to remember to take some nice pictures to fill the layout.  Jill is up next and I cannot wait to see what she has created with the sketch.

You can follow the hop by clicking on the next button below.

Have a great day,

Jo
