Kre8tors March Blog Hop - Sketch Challenge...

 

Good afternoon and welcome to the Kre8tors Blog Hop.  Today I am joining other demonstrators from around the Globe to create a card based on this amazing sketch.

I love a good sketch challenge as it can really inspire you.  The Kite Delight stamp set is so cheerful and the little sun is so cute that I decided to use it as a background for my card.  Being in the UK, and with our card sizes being different, I haven't followed the measurements exactly but the card has the same effect.

I have pretty much interpreted the sketch design as it appeared but have of course added my own little touches.  The suns were stamped in Mango Melody and coloured using So Saffron Stampin' Blends.  The top section is stamped using a mixture of Mango Melody and So Saffron by just adding ink to the edge of an acrylic block.  You can create some amazing backgrounds with this technique.

The kites and tails were stamped in Bermuda Bay and Polished Pink and coloured using Stampin' Blends too, Bermuda Bay, Granny Apple Green, Polished Pink and finally a Mango Melody Stampin' Marker for the centres of the flowers.  All the pieces were then fussy cut before arranging on my card.  I hope you like it!
