Colour Combo March Blog Hop...

Kite Delight, Fluid 100, watercolouring, heat embossing

Good morning, 7am in fact here in the UK so I may be having a sneaky lay in as this post goes live! We have a beautiful colour combination for you today.

These three colours together are just gorgeous and having recently purchased the Kite Delight stamp set I knew it would work perfectly.

I started by stamping the clouds and heat embossing them on to a piece of Fluid 100 paper before watercolouring the background lightly in Balmy Blue ink. I then stamped the kites and tails on to a separate piece of Fluid 100 paper and heat embossed in white embossing powder.

I flooded the separate areas with water and dropped in some of the different colours and allowed them to dry before cutting out and arranging them on my card. I thought it was interesting that although Soft Sea Foam is such a subtle colour, when layered, it is actually quite bright.
