Good evening everyone, I bet you thought I had forgotten today's Advent Project! Truth is I have been away at a class weekend and with little internet, it made sense to wait til I got home. I have a cute little gift bag for you though which I know you will love.
I love making gift bags from our DSP but sometimes you need something a little stronger so this one is made from cardstock but decorated using the beautiful Tidings of Christmas DSP.
Instructions
I started with a piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock to measure 28.5cm x 17.5cm and in landscape format I scored at 1.5cm, 11cm, 15cm and 24.5cm. Revisit 13cm and 26.5cm and score down to 11cm.
Score diagonal lines from the 11cm point above to the bottom score line to create an upside down V. Cut the bottom score lines up to the first score line and create the tab on the left.
Cut two pieces of DSP (Cherry Cobbler) to measure 13.5cm x 9cm and glue to the larger sections. Decorate as you wish. I used the Basic Borders dies to add some additional interest to the top sections.
Punch two holes on each of the large sections. Add some double sided tape to the reverse. Thread through approx. 30cm gold ribbon and glue to the reverse. Repeat for the second handle.
Cut two pieces of co-ordinating DSP to measure 9.3cm x 2.5cm and glue to hide the ribbon ends.
Finally glue the bag together first with the side tab and then the bottom section.

You can now decorate your bag as you wish. I used the co-ordinating Tidings & Trimmings Bundle of elements to decorate mine.
I hope you will give this cute little bag a go, its simple but effective and useful for all sorts of gifts.
See you tomorrow,
Jo
