Monday Mashup #39 featuring Flowers of Friendship...

Flowers of Friendship, Stampin' Up!

Good morning and welcome to another Monday Mashup.  Today I am sharing one of my favourite techniques and the beautiful new Friendship of Flowers stamp set.

I am not sure the technique has a formal name but it involves laying a layer of white ink on the base of a mid tone colour cardstock before adding beautiful colours on top so they pop from the background.

Flowers of Friendship, Stampin' Up!

My original card I made using Smoky Slate as the background colour.  I love pink and grey together, it evokes memories of my teenage bedroom!

Here are a few close ups.

The cute tag is taken from the Quiet Meadow suite.  I have recorded a video which shows the technique from start to finish using one of the new In Colors, Soft Succulent.

It is the same card, using the same technieque, with a few changes. it is amazing how different they look.

Here they are together so you can compare them!  I wonder which one is your favourite?
