Monday Mashup #40 featuring Quiet Meadow and Beauty of Friendship...

 

Good morning, I hope you have had a good weekend.  I spent most of the day Saturday in my office catching up on some work but Sunday I managed to get in some crafty time in between the jobs!

Today I am sharing another card using the amazing Meadow Dies, I love these dies, they are so useful for adding layers to your cards but I envisioned them as a silhouette.

I created a background for my card by blending the new In-Color Pale Papaya with Bermuda Bay and Night of Navy.

I also added a little black to the top and bottom of the card.  I gave the background a splatter effect (my favourite!) using the Whisper White reinker.  I die cut various of the Meadow Dies in Basic Black cardstock and arranged them on my card above a small strip of DSP and foil card at the bottom, to give a clean line.

I then created a gold 'coin' using the molten embossing powder technique.

I embossed the sentiment from the Beauty of Friendship stamp set in White embossing powder so it stood out nicely from the background.

Finally I added some twine and gems to complete the card.
