I have chosen to share with you a brand new bundle called Beauty of Friendship.
This set appealed to me not only because I love trees but the sentiments are really lovely too!
I have broken with my usual style and have opted for very simple stamping today. I know, it doesn't happen often!!!
In the Designer Series Paper, which co-ordinates with the suite of products, there is an amazing sheet which is full of blue skies and clouds. It was crying out to be stamped on.
I started by stamping the trunk and branches of the tree on to the bottom left of a piece of the DSP in Early Espresso ink. I used first and second generation stamping at different heights to add interest.
I stamped the canopy of the trees using the little dotty stamp. I started with Merry Merlot, Old Olive, Cinnamon Cider, Cajun Craze and Bumblebee. I stamped the grassy area using Old Olive ink stamped repeatedly until I was happy with the finished result.
I thought this would make a suitable sympathy card but of course it could be used for a different occasion and has a masculine feel to it. Equally, it could look lovely in various shades of pink for spring blossom!
For the greeting, I have used a stamp from the new Inspired Thoughts stamp set which has greetings for all sorts of occasions. It has a beautiful clear font and I thought it worked perfectly.
