Ink.Stamp.Share | Christmas Friends

Happy Saturday, I hope you are all well.  Today is the Ink.Stamp.Share blog hop, showcasing what we have been working on!

For me, it's been all about Christmas over the last few weeks.  I have entitled my blog post 'Christmas Friends' not only because the gorgeous Christmas Friends stamp set has appeared quite heavily in my recent makes but today is all about Christmas crafting with friends, all day long, and we are having a lovely inky friends catch up.

So this little guy is the real reason I had to buy the Christmas Friends stamp set, though the other characters are equally as cute.

I stamped the background stamp 'Falling Snow' on to the Basic Beige base card in Versamark ink and heat embossed it with white embossing powder.  I coloured the edges of the card in Basic Beige also.

The owl I stamped in Staz-on ink on to Basic Beige card and coloured him using watercolour pencils, dry with no water, in Early Espresso, Crushed Curry and a little black.

The background snow is from the 'Yuletide Village' stamp set again heat embossed in white embossing powder and whilst you cannot really see it in the picture, all the dots got the glitter treatment so it is proper sparkly!

Talking of the Yuletide Village stamp set, this is another firm favourite for me this year and versatile for other occasions, not just Christmas!

For this one I did the background much the same as before in Basic Beige - who knew a simple colour would also feature so highly on my love list!

For this one I stamped the church on a separate piece of Basic White cardstock and cut it out.  I used ink from the ink pads for this one.  It may also have had a little of the sparkle treatment - well it is Christmas after all!

Finally for today, another one for Yuletide Village, lots of layers on this one, but I loved the finished result!

Hopefully by the end of today I will have a few more ready to send and not leave it until the last minute like I normally do!

I am now going to pass you on to the lovely Tammy and you can follow the hop by clicking on the next button below.

Happy Stampin!

  3. This is a gorgeous creation! The Christmas Friends stamp set is wonderful, and I like how you utilised the Falling Snow backdrop. It definitely brings the card to life with that touch of glitter! The colours and layers with the Yuletide Village stamp create a cosy, seasonal atmosphere. To be honest, seeing your ingenuity makes me wish I had more time to craft, but I'm now seeking for someone to do my college assignment for me! Thank you for sharing these ideas; they have motivated me to get a jump start on my own Christmas cards this year!
