Good afternoon and welcome to the Stampers Showcase Blog Hop. Today we are celebrating Winter/Holidays. It has been really wintery here in the UK the last few days and we have even seen some snow.
I created this card for a recent class where we were concentrating on layers! I love layers on a card which can create different effects and we went for a vintage type card for this one.
The background is the In Good Taste DSP and the top layer is Sahara Sand which has been distressed with Sahara Sand ink, snowflakes stamped in Whisper White Craft ink and then some sprinkles heat embossed on top.
The various 'layers' are made up from various dies and stamps, the Iconic dies for the fern, the stars and holly from the Christmas Trimmings Dies and the red stars from the Tidings & Trimmings stamps.
Once all the layers are built up I added a simple sentiment and a linen bow to complete the card.
I hope you like my project today, Marita is up next and I cannot wait to see what she has been creating.
