Ink.Stamp.Share Special Blog Hop - September...

Good afternoon and welcome to Ink.Stamp.Share Special Blog Hop where we get to showcase something we have been working on.

You may have joined me from Lisa or starting the hop here.

My project today started life as a humble cardboard box from a well known cosmetic company.  I don't know about you but if I come across a really good quality box I have to make it into something beautiful.  Inevitably I have quite a collection awaiting transformation.

Here is the said box...

As you can see, I started off by cutting a window in the front of the box.  I had a scene in my head!

I love the new Trimming the Town Suite and knew it was perfect for what I had in mind.

I then covered the box, inside and out using a mixture of the Trimming the Town DSP and the Heartwarming Hugs DSP before creating my village scene using the Coming Home stamp set.

And here is a close up of the village.

Of course it wouldn't be Christmas without glitter and snow so I added some Shimmery White Embossing Paste.

And I wanted it to light up too so I added some little LED lights.  I cut out all the windows and added some window sheet behind so the lights would shine through.

I hope you like my project today, it was a little bit of fun which I shall enjoy having on display during the Christmas period.

You can purchase the products I have used to create my project by clicking on the links below.  So don't throw away those precious boxes, they can be upcycled too!

I am now going to pass you on to Sue who I know will have something lovely to share with you today.

Happy Craftin'

Jo
