Welcome to another Stampin' Friends' Blog Hop. Today we are sharing projects with the theme 'Thankful for You'.
We are nearing Remembrance Sunday here in the UK so I decided to dig out a stamp set I have not used in a very long while. Painted Poppies is such a beautiful stamp set and it also reminds me of my late mum as she loved red poppies.
I stamped my card design by creating several masks of the poppies and leaves and arranging them on my card until I was happy with the design. The images were stamped in Memento ink. I then used Sweet Sorbet and Evening Evergreen Stampin' Blends to colour them in. I used the speckled stamp in the set to create the Balmy Blue background.
I love the Very Best Trio Punch as it is so versatile but I used it to simply add some interest to the top of my card this time.
I then used the punch to create a nice top to a little gift bag.
What a lovely pair, I particularly like the stamping on the gift bag.
ReplyDeleteLove these projects - so glad you used the poppy - an all time fav!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the reminder about Remembrance Day, and using my retired Poppy Parade stamp set and papers that I've had in my stash. Your card is really beautiful, and I love the stamped images on the bag. Well done.
