Welcome to the Stampin 'n Hop Blog Hop. Today we have a sketch challenge for you.
As you know I love a sketch challenge. I often change the orientation or change the shapes but today I loved the clean look of this sketch so I have kept it pretty much true to the original.
I have chosen the Brewed for You stamp set for my project today but have given it a feminine feel with the use of the beautiful Textured Chic Designer Series Paper.
The paper is gorgeous and has a really soft colour palette.
I used three different patterns of Designer Series Paper to create my background and added a double layered circle for the central element.
I wanted the drink to have a blush wine sort of colour. Petal Pink is the colour in the Designer Series Paper but this was way too dark for what I was looking for so I used second generation stamping (first stamped on to scrap paper and then stamped again on to my glass) but this was too light. Whilst I was scratching my head trying to come up with a solution, I played around with colours and found by using the second generation stamping technique, but twice on top of each other, I got the exact colour I was looking for using Petal Pink.
I loved making this card and whilst it has a feminine feel, I think it could suit all. I cannot wait to see what everybody else has created with this sketch so I am now going to pass you on to Mo who I am sure will have somebody gorgeous to share with us today.
