Good afternoon to Christmas in July with the Ink.Stamp.Share Blog Hop.
I have a cute gift box to share with you today, well in fact its not really a box, more a set of drawers. Today I am hosting my Christmas in July event which is always the most popular event of the year. We have Christmas music, nibbles and usually Christmas jumpers but given it is forecast to be over 80 degrees tomorrow I cannot see we will be carrying on that tradition.
I have created this project as part of a display for the event.
I have designed this box to hold Ferrero Rocher chocolates which are conveniently sold in boxes of 16 which was just the right number.
There are four little drawers, each holding four chocolates.
The drawers are quite deep so you could use them for something entirely different and I suspect mini cosmetics would fit in these a treat. I will give it a try when I get a moment.
The box base and top is made from grey board so it turns a £3.99 box of chocolates into a really special gift. I will be putting a tutorial together for this over the next couple of weeks so keep an eye out for it. It was one of those projects which developed as I made it so I have to make sense of my scribbled notes first!
UPDATED: Video tutorial now available in metric and imperial.
I cannot wait to see what my fellow hoppers have been creating for Christmas in July and you can follow the hop by clicking on the next button or links below.
Happy Christmas crafting!
