Faux Silk Technique featuring Sending Smiles Bundle...

Good morning, so how was your weekend?  I had a lovely class on Saturday and then Sunday was largely spent catching up with some crafting projects, a perfect weekend!

Today I am sharing the Faux Silk Technique with you.  It is an old technique but one which works perfectly with solid stamps and makes really quick beautiful cards.

The Sending Smiles stamp set is perfect for this technique.  Stamp a design onto a piece of Basic White cardstock, allow to dry thoroughly before applying glue and a screwed up piece of tissue paper.  It really is that simple but don't be tempted to flatten out the tissue paper too much!  The image becomes muted so works best with bright or dark colours.

If you prefer a brighter look to your card or are looking to use lighter colours but like the technique, you can stamp directly on to the tissue paper before screwing it up.  You get exactly the same look without the muted tones.

You can see the texture on the card here.

I hope you like my card today, here is a video showing how it is made.  It really is a quick and easy technique, go on give it a go.  I would love to see your faux silk cards.

Don't forget we have just over a week left of the amazing In-Color joining promotion.  If you are loving the 2022-2024 In-Colors then this is a great way to get your hands on them.  For just £99 you get to choose £130 worth of goodies of your choice plus you will receive an In-Color bundle worth £62.50 which includes the five In-Color ink pads!!!!  I would love you to be part of my team so drop me a line and we can chat.

Happy Stampin' and I hope you have a great week.
