Good afternoon and welcome to the Positive Inkers April Blog Hop where we are celebrating some of the beautiful flower stamps that appear in the January to June Mini Catalogue. I have chosen the gorgeous Daffodil Daydream Stamp Set.
I love to see the daffodils pop up in the garden. It is a little peek that Spring is on its way. Having said that our poor little daffodil heads suddenly had a snow covering this week, a reminder that we are not quite there yet!
I stamped the daffodils in Crumb Cake ink on to a Crumb Cake base so I could only just see the outline and using a Chalk Marker I coloured in the elements in turn to give me a white base. I then added colour using Stampin' Markers, Garden Green and Granny Apple Green for the leaves and stems and Pale Papaya for the daffodils.
I masked the image and sponged some Soft Suede ink around the edges before stamping some dots and adding faux stitching for interest.
I took myself off to my happy place colouring this image, I hope you like it. The lovely Sandy is up next and I cannot wait to see what she has created.
Happy Stampin'
Jo
