Ink & Share Scrapbook Blog Hop - Happy Holidays...

Good afternoon, I hope you have all kept safe during Storm Arwen here in the UK!  We are quite far away from the worst of it thank goodness, but it has been extremely windy, cold and wet with some snow mixed in for good measure!  It was a perfect excuse to stay in and craft!

Today's theme for the Ink & Share Scrapbook Blog Hop is Happy Holidays.  We could use this photograph for inspiration whether it be through texture, colours, design etc.

I rarely use DSP as a background page, I think mainly because it is always so nice and I like it to go a bit further but the picture inspired me to use a sheet from the In Good Taste DSP.

I have also used some torn pieces from the Ever Eden DSP, this is truly stunning paper but is only available for a short time whilst stocks last, so don't miss out!

I have also used a combination of stamp sets and dies to create interest.  The stamped leaves are from my favourite stamp set Forever Fern, this is quite an open stamp so I used a Blender Pen to enhance the colour a little.  The trees and deer are from the Peaceful Deer stamp set and the Happy Christmas is from the Words of Cheer bundle.

I must start using DSP for my backgrounds as I was so pleased with the way this one turned out.

Gez is up next and I cannot wait to see what she has created.

Happy Scrappin'
