Ink & Share Scrapbook Blog Hop - June Blog Hop...

Whale Done

Good afternoon and welcome to another Ink & Share Scrapbook Blog Hop.  I am joining other demonstrators to inspire you to create a scrapbook layout using punches.

You may have joined me from Cindy or starting the hop here.  I decided to dust off a favourite from last year called Whale Done.  I find this set really cheerful and the greetings are really sweet.

Whale Done

I started off by creating a background using a piece of spare bubble wrap with Pool Party and Granny Apple Green Ink.

I stamped the seaweed along the bottom in Granny Apple Green with a mix of Pacific Point on some of them.  I then added some fish in Misty Moonlight.

I created the blended alcohol circles by adding Stampin' Blends to a piece of vellum cardstock and dropped pools of alcohol on to the surface, allowing it to spread around.  Once dry I repeated the process again and once the second layer had dried I splattered some small droplets of alcohol over the surface to create the mottled effect.  You can see it better here.

I cut out circles of the vellum in various sizes and adhered them to my page.  The whales were punched from Misty Moonlight and Basic White card.

I added some water spurts which are also part of the punch and coated them in Shimmery Crystal Effects to give the water look.

I hope you like my layout today.  I loved building up the layers and textures.

The lovely Alison is up next and I know she will have something to inspire us today.

Happy Sunday,

Jo
