Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop - Birthdays...

A Cut Above

Good evening and welcome to the Stampin INKspirations April Blog Hop.  This month we are celebrating Birthdays.

I would say quite a high percentage of the cards I make are Birthday cards.  However, a very small percentage of those are for men!  Whenever we have a predominantly male themed stamp set it always gets me quite excited.  I loved this set, A Cut Above, as soon as I saw it as I knew it would be brilliant for so many friends and family members.

A Cut Above

I started by stamping the image in Memento ink and coloured the image using Stampin' Blends.  I cut out the image using the Stitched Nested Labels dies and created a border in Poppy Parade cardstock.  The base layer is Pool Party and I stamped the cloud stamp in Whisper White ink before painting them in.

I wrapped some linen thread around the card base before adding the topper using dimensionals.  The greeting is taken from the same stamp set and heat embossed in white embossing powder.

Sadly this stamp set will be leaving us in just a couple of weeks when we see the launch of the brand new Annual Catalogue but it is still available while stocks last.  You can purchase any of the products I have used to make this card by clicking on the links below.

I am now going to pass you on to the lovely Jill who I know will have something beautiful to share with you.

You can follow the hop by clicking any of the names below.

Happy Stampin'

Jo
