Monday Mashup #37 featuring Pansy Patch...

Pansy Patch, Masking

Good morning and Happy Monday!  I have some sneak peeks for you today with some brand new products from the 2021-22 Annual Catalogue which launches on the 4 May!

The first sneak peeks I want to share are the brand new In-Colors.  If you are not familiar with Stampin' Up!, each year we launch five new colours which stay with us for a period of two years.  Sometimes they reappear but mostly the colours retire after their two year stint!  You may have read my recent post about the 2019-21 In Colors which are about to retire.  It is always bittersweet but this year's colours are amazing.

It is rare that I love all five colours from the get go and quite often they take a while to grow on me (which inevitably they do) but these colours are stunning and they also work so well together.

Now that takes me on to my cards today.  I am showcasing a new stamp set called Pansy Patch which has a fantastic set of co-ordinating dies.

I have used the masking technique to create an arrangement of pansies.  The card base is Fresh Freesia, the dark layer is Everything Evergreen, as is the greeting panel.  The leaves are stamped in Soft Succulent and Everything Evergreen and the pansies are made using Gorgeous Grape, stamped off Fresh Freesia, Rich Razzleberry and Daffodil Delight.  I started with one of the pansy heads and masked it to add the leaves and masked as I went adding more flowers and leaves.

For the video I wanted to show some different colours so I decided to use a base card of Polished Pink, and here is the result.

Pansy Patch

I swapped the Everything Evergreen layer for Soft Succulent and the leaves are stamped in the same colours as before.  I stamped the flowers in Polished Pink, first generation stamping for the detailed bits and second generation for the background, Rich Razzleberry for the centre with Daffodil Delight.

See that Gold twine?  That's new and comes with silver too!  See those little gems, they have a beautiful iridescence to them and come in the 2021-2023 In Colours.

I hope you like the cards today, I have recorded a video of the masking technique so you can see how simple it is and can give it a go for yourself.

You will be able to purchase the products I have used to make my cards from the 4 May.  If you would like to receive a catalogue then please just drop me a line or if you would like the opportunity to become a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator then I would love to discuss this with you and you could include these beautiful pansies as part of your Starter Kit!

Have a good week!
