Incredible Like You....

Good morning, what a beautiful day it is here in sunny Norfolk, sadly it is not here to stay given the weekend forecast but for now I shall make the most of it.

I am stopping by today to share with you a recent kit based class I held using the beautiful Incredible Like You Project Kit featured in the Spring/Summer catalogue.  The kit is beautiful in its own right and the colours go together so well but of course I decided to dress it up a little bit.

We started off by making this lovely card holder.  I cut some of the cards around a bit and added a few extra greetings to create the box but stuck largely with the theme of the kit.  You can see a tutorial here of how I made the cardholder.

Once we made the card holder, we set about designing the cards.  The first four cards are as designed in the kit …

I then added in some extra greetings and changed things around a bit...

This was a really relaxing enjoyable class as lots of the hard work is done for you and it just goes to show that the kits are there to guide you, you can make them up as intended or have a play around.

Sadly, this kit and the co-ordinating stamp set is soon to retire so if you fancy having a go, be quick!

I hope you have enjoyed the projects today.

Happy Stampin'

Ink & Share Scrapbook Blog Hop - Masculine...

Good morning and thank you for joining me for the Ink & Share Scrapbook Hop.  You may have joined me from Cindy or starting your journey here.

This month we have been tasked with the theme of 'masculine'.  I think I am right in saying that we all struggle a bit with masculine themed projects so it is nice to challenge ourselves a little.

I had a look through some old photographs and came across some (actually hundreds!) that my husband and I had taken on a trip we took in 2012.  We had both celebrated 'milestone' birthdays in 2012 (and our birthdays are three days apart) so we decided to take the holiday of a lifetime to the beautiful country of Canada.

We started in Toronto and took a three day train ride across to the Rocky Mountains followed by a dream trip on the Rocky Mountaineer, ending up in Vancouver to complete our holiday.  We stayed in some amazing hotels, the scenery was spectacular and we even got caught in a 'bear jam' as a juvenile bear crossed the highway!  It truly was such an amazing trip and such a beautiful country.

The photos I am sharing with you today were taken as we arrived at Banff station to pick up the Rocky Mountaineer.  I love this photo of my husband as the smile never left our faces for the whole trip and it brings back some amazing memories.

I hope you like my project that I have shared with you today and I am now going to pass you on to the amazing Cheryl who I am sure has something gorgeous to share with you today.

Happy Scrappin'

PS If you ever get a chance to visit Canada, I would highly recommend it!

April 2019 KBH Theme: Spring Color Challenge...

Good afternoon from Norfolk in the UK, today I am hopping with the Kre8tors Blog Hop and this month we have been tasked with a colour challenge.

We are to use a minimum of three of the following colours.

It is such a beautiful colour combination and I would have loved to use them all but in the end I decided on Gray Granite, Highland Heather and Granny Apple Green.

I love a colour challenge because it makes you think outside of the box and it is always hard to decide which stamp set to use but in the end I chose the Tea Together stamp set.

I stamped my images in Gray Granite and used the small buds stamp to decorate the teapot and teacup.  I then used the Stampin' Blends in Highland Heather and Granny Apple Green to colour them in.  The greeting was stamped in Granny Apple Green and punched out using the small scalloped circle punches.

I hope you like my card and I am now going to pass you on to Laura who I am sure has something lovely to share with you today.

Happy Hopping!

Colour Combo Blog Hop April 2019...

Good morning and welcome to the Colour Combo Blog Hop for April.  You may have joined me from Rebecca-Jo or you may be starting the hop here.  Either way, welcome and hope you enjoy what we have to share with you today.

This month we are using...

Pear Pizzazz - So Saffron - Blushing Bride

Such a pretty combination of colours.

For this card I decided to use the Hand Delivered stamp set, exclusive to Hostesses.  I have had this set for a while and I thought it was quite quirky but this is the first time I have inked it up for my goddaughter's birthday.

I stamped the image in Gray Granite rather than black so it was softer and I used the three colours to watercolour the balloons and skirt.  I mixed a little of the So Saffron and Blushing Bride to achieve the skin tone.

I hope you have enjoyed my project and I am now going to pass you on to Dorothee who, I am sure, has something lovely to share with you today.

Happy Stampin!
