Ink.Stamp.Share Showcase Hop...

Good afternoon and welcome to the Ink.Stamp.Share blog hop.  Today we are showcasing anything we have been working on recently.

It's a difficult time in the Stampin' Up! calendar as we are eagerly awaiting the general release of our new Annual Catalogue.  We are mourning the loss of some of our beloved stamp sets and also some of our amazing colours as we embark on a colour refresh.  BUT, there is so so much to look forward to, you are going to love the new offerings and the colours are amazing.

Today we are sharing projects we have been working on recently.  Last weekend I held a techniques class which was all about getting inky and having fun, here are a few of the cards we made using the Amazing Year and Cheerful Basket stamp sets.

I call these my two for one cards where you use the cut outs from one to create the background for another, no waste.  The background was made on pearlised paper by simply adding a couple of drops of several colours on to a babywipe and swiping it across the paper several times.

This card incorporated a simple fancy cut card with a smoosh/swipe background using alcohol and reinkers on to a pearlised paper.  We also incorporated some colouring techniques using watercolour pencils.  I love all the little craft items we know and love in this cute little stamp.

This one uses the same background technique and incorporates some colouring techniques using Stampin' Blends.  The parcels are coloured and then using the Color Lifter, we drew patterns on them to remove some colour and create the pretty patterns.

I hope you like just a few of the technique cards we made and I cannot wait to see what everyone else has been creating.  You can follow the hop by clicking on the Next Blog link below.

Have a great weekend,

Jo
