Positive Inkers | Sketch Challenge

Good afternoon and welcome to the Positive Inkers Blog Hop for March, yes March, can you believe it, where is the year going already!?  Today we have a fab Sketch Challenge for you.

You must all know by now how much I love a sketch challenge and here is today's beauty.

Sketches can be interpreted in so many different ways which is why I love them.  You can turn them, twist them, change the shapes, whatever you wish.  I loved the layered shapes in this one and for my card I have used the gorgeous Happy Forest Friends Suite.

I started with a Basic White Thick card base and although you can't see it properly in the background of this card, I stamped the tree stamp numerous times and embossed with clear embossing powder to give it texture.  I then splatted the entire background with Early Espresso ink.

I chose some of my favourite patterns of DSP and arranged them roughly as the sketch is drawn.  Instead of the circle on the sketch, I swapped it out for a tree cut from the DSP along with the cute little fox and owl.

I love this gorgeous little set, it has great stamps but the DSP is also really useful as it has some cute imagery to cut out.

I hope you like my card today, I am looking forward to seeing what everyone else has created with this sketch.

Have a good day,

Jo
