Crafty Challenge Blog Hop - Sketch...

Good afternoon and welcome to the Crafty Challenge Blog Hop.  Today we have a sketch challenge for you and you know how much I love a sketch!

The reason I love sketches so much is because instantly you have a starting point which is really good when you are struggling to know where to start!! TOP TIP - I often print a sketch and then I hold it up all different ways to see what it looks like in a different orientation.  Today's sketch is quite a simple one but it has several elements which can be interpreted in any way.  I have kept largely to the original today with just a slight replacement of one of the elements.

I love this little bunny from the Easter Friends stamp set.  I played around with him a little to find my best way for colouring.  I started with the no line technique on to our Fluid 100 paper, where you stamp with a light coloured ink pad and when painted, you see no lines.  This worked brilliantly UNTIL.... it came to his eyes, well lets just say he looked like he had been to a good party!!!  I then tried stamping in a slightly darker ink, Soft Suede, this was better but it still lacked some definition so I then stamped in Staz-on ink which gave me more freedom with the flow of ink.

I wanted to explain the processes I went through as I want to inspire you to carry on when things don't quite go right the first time.  It is just paper and ink so have a play and don't be down if it doesn't go right first time.  I actually left my slightly 'drunk' bunny on my desk throughout as it made me laugh!

I hope you like my interpretation of the sketch and I cannot wait to see how my fellow hoppers have interpreted the sketch.
