Kre8tors Blog Hop - Love/Romance...

Good morning and welcome to the Kre8tors Blog Hop for February.  Today I am joining an amazing group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world to bring to you everything Love and Romance.

You may have joined me from Ximena or starting your journey here but it is good to have you either way.

I must confess this is not my favourite subject however, when I think of Love and Romance I always think back to our 10th wedding anniversary when my husband surprised me with a trip to Paris.  I just loved Paris so much, especially the Eiffel Tower, and it has always stayed with me.  To date we are yet to make a return trip but maybe one day (we have been married 21 years in March!)

I therefore had to use the Parisian Beauty and Forever Blossoms stamps for my project.

Here is my card...

I created a background using various stamps from the Parisian Beauty stamps in Crumb Cake ink and lightly sponged the edges, adding some accents in Early Espresso.

I originally cut the Eiffel Tower in silver foil but it was quite 'bright' so I knocked it back a little by painting over it in Gesso paint (the canvas priming paint) before gently rubbing some of the paint away to reveal the silver underneath.  It just seemed to make it more romantic somehow!  The flowers were stamped in Early Espresso and the Stampin' Blends used to add some colour.  Finally the greeting was heat embossed in white on to Early Espresso card.

Here are a couple of close ups where you can see what I mean about the Eiffel Tower.

I hope you have enjoyed my project today.  I love to receive feedback so please leave me a comment to let me know what you think.

If you want to find out more about the amazing products that Stampin' Up! has to offer, not to mention the amazing opportunities of becoming a demonstrator then please get in touch, I am here to help.

I am now going to pass you on to Alexandra who I am sure has something lovely to share with you today.

Happy Stampin'
