Ink.Stamp.Share June Blog Hop - 3D...

Good afternoon and thank you for joining our June Hop.  This month we have been tasked with making a 3D project.  I love making 3d projects as it always amazes me how we can make such amazing things from flat pieces of card!

I have something a little special for you today.  It is called a Tower Explosion Box.  I have wanted to make one of these for ages but never seemed to get around to it but I have made it as a display piece for my Sail Away Fun Day class which is actually happening as we speak!

Here is the box...

It looks like a normal gift box, albeit rather large, but wait, when you take off the lid...

There's another box, but wait...

And wait...there's more...

I won't lie, this is a labour of love, lots of head scratching and cardstock/DSP but I think it is worth it.  I wanted to show off the DSP so I haven't over decorated the box but you could go wild and decorate all sides if you wanted to.

I have seen a fair few of these doing the rounds recently so I just searched Tower Explosion Box on You Tube and adjusted the measurements accordingly to create the size I wanted.  Maybe one day I will write my own tutorial using my measurements, but for now....I am going to pass you on to Linda Handford who I am sure has something amazing to share with you today!

Happy Stampin'
