Ink & Share May Blog Hop...

Thank you for joining me today for the monthly Ink & Share Scrapbook Blog Hop.  We have had free reign this month to showcase something we have been working on.

I have chosen to share with you today a little sneak peak into some of the amazing products that will be released in the new Annual Stampin' Up! catalogue on 3 June.

I have used two new sets of papers in my layout today, the woodgrain effect is from the In Good Taste pack which has some amazing wood and tile imagery and the other papers are taken from my favourite set Forever Greenery.  Here is my layout...

I cut a large banner from the woodgrain paper and some smaller banners from several of the Forever Greenery papers and arranged them on my page.  I then cut, stamped and arranged the various elements, all made using the stamps, dies and embellishments from the Forever Greenery Suite and the words are taken from the Wildly Happy stamp set. You are going to love the new products, they make designing so simple but beautiful at the same time.

Here are some close ups...

The picture in my layout is of one of my furbabies when she was around six weeks old and we were anxiously awaiting her arrival to her new forever home.  Every day we received 'pupdates' from the breeder and I just love this picture.  She is the sweetest dog you could wish for whilst having real character.  She is now three and I snapped this picture of her this morning.

As you can she is somewhat lighter now as she has the poodle fading gene but is every bit as gorgeous, sporting her short lockdown haircut.

I hope you like my layout today, I am now going to pass you on to Sue who I am sure has something lovely to share with you.

Happy Scrappin'

Ink.Stamp.Share May Blog Hop - New Catalogue Sneak Peak...

I am so excited to be joining the Ink.Stamp.Share May hop as this month we are showcasing some sneak peaks from the upcoming Annual Stampin' Up! catalogue which launches on the 3 June so not long to wait now.

There are so many amazing new products to share and I have chosen a new stamp set called Celebrate Sunflowers.  It is actually part of the Flowers for Every Season collection which I know you are going to love.

I was asked to make a birthday card for a dear friend of mine by her mum, the brief being bright, cheerful and she loves sunflowers so that was good timing!

I took my inspiration for my card from my beautiful craft room curtains made by our very own Laura.  I loved this fabric when Laura made some curtains for somebody else so when I moved home last year I knew exactly what fabric I wanted in my craft room.

So I started off with a piece of Whisper White card stock and stamped one of the large sunflowers, began to colour and gradually built it up using the Beautiful Friendship stamp set (which I am very relieved to say is with us for at least another year) until I had a full sheet of loveliness.

I then set to designing my card, I opted for a gate fold card, a larger card than I would normally make to show as much of the beautiful colours as possible.

I couldn't waste any of this paper so I decorated the inside too, using virtually the whole sheet.

I absolutely loved creating this card and really struggled to chop it up but I am very pleased I did.

I am often asked about my colouring techniques.  I am not an artist in fact I cannot draw if my life depended on it but the amazing stamps from Stampin' Up! enable me to be creative and I love to share that with people so I have made a video (below) of how I coloured the sunflower which I hope you will enjoy and maybe offer some insight in to how I colour.

I am now going to pass you on to Gez who I am sure has something absolutely amazing to share with you today.

Happy Stampin'

It's a BEAUTIFUL WORLD...

I was due to take part in the Stampin' Friends May Blog Hop where today the theme is Masculine or My Guy.  I got my post ready and went to grab the roll call for the hop and realised I hadn't submitted my link!  The problem with being home all the time and every day rolling into one!

I had prepared my project so I have decided to share it with you anyway.

Last week I had a play and I made this card which I shared on my Instagram page so I decided to make a little gift to go with it.

On 3rd June the new Annual Stampin' Up! Catalogue launches and we have some amazing stamp sets for the men.  I, like many, really struggle for ideas for the men so I know they are going to be very popular!

One of the sets I love is called Beautiful World and forms part of the World of Good Suite.

I was trying to think of a project that I could make with men in mind and I remembered a popular project I made way back in 2016 which I decided to recreate using these amazing new products.

This is a stand to hold a watch with a little coin tray for all that loose change men always seem to carry around.

I used the World of Good Speciality Designer Series Paper and two brand new 2020-2022 In Colors, Misty Moonlight and Cinnamon Cider.

I hope you like my projects today.

Keep safe and keep crafting,

Ink.Stamp.Share Special Blog Hop...

Good afternoon and welcome to the Ink.Stamp.Share Special Blog Hop.  We are running an additional monthly hop to try and keep morale up and to enable demonstrators to showcase their amazing talents.  There is no theme, literally anything goes provided current products are used.

We have a brand new catalogue about to launch in a couple of weeks so hopefully you will see some sneak peeks along the way.  Sadly my order has yet to arrive so I am sharing with you a project I made for my last in-person class before we entered lockdown here in the UK.
This was very popular with my ladies and many have gone on to make more to give away as gifts.  Here is my project, this is a perpetual calendar using the beautiful Peaceful Poppies DSP.  The paper will be discontinued in a couple of weeks so get yours fast but thankfully the stamps and dies are staying with us, yay!

The back of the calendar is made using grey board so it is very sturdy and the inside is made in a concertina fashion so it pulls open.  Each of the pages is also decorated and is held together with a belly band.

I hope you like my project.  I have sneaked the instructions into the tutorial section so perhaps you will give it a go!

I am now going to pass you on to Gez who I am sure has something lovely to share with you today.

Don't forget, if you would like a copy of the brand new Annual Catalogue, please get in touch.

Keep safe,

Jo

Good morning, in case I haven't spoken about it enough, we have a brand new Stampin' Up! Catalogue launching on 3 June 2020.

Below you will find details of the shares and a simple form to reserve the product share or shares of your choice.

Stampin' Dreams - May 2020 - Annual Catalogue Sneak Peek...

Good morning and welcome to the Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop for May.  Today we are sharing with you a few Sneak Peeks from the brand new Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue which launches on the 3 June.

As demonstrators we are able to order a few select items the month before to enable us time to produce some lovely samples made in advance of the catalogue launch.  Unfortunately, due to the Covid-19 situation, our orders have been delayed here in the UK so although my order has now left the warehouse, I have yet to receive it.  I think we all understand everyone is working so hard to keep things operating and these things happen.  Fortunately, we have lots of amazing stamps remaining from last year's catalogue and we have also seen an early release of the Ornate Garden Suite which has lots of beautiful floral images and is available NOW!

I have chosen to use my favourite paper from the Ornate Garden DSP which has some lovely little daisies.  Here is my card...

The ornate white panel is die cut using the Ornate Frames dies and the daisies are stamped using Memento ink on to Whisper White cardstock and come from the Ornate Style stamp set and the greeting from the Ornate Thanks stamp set.  The beautiful creamy yellow you can see in the DSP is a new In-Color called Bumblebee, I think it is going to be a firm favourite!

I love kinetic cards, they are great fun.  This is a three tier sliding card and is very difficult to photograph so here are some pictures of it opened up so you can see how it works.  You pull the tab at the top and it pulls out to reveal two further layers.

The panel in the middle is for writing your own message.

I hope you like my card today.  I would love to hear from you so please leave me a comment and don't forget to follow the hop around to see some amazing Sneak Peaks.

I would love to be your demonstrator so if you would like to receive the brand new catalogue, please get in touch.

Happy Craftin'
